Platform use
Terms
These general terms apply to Smarter Justice public tools and directory features. Focused portals and professional memberships may have additional terms.
Platform boundary
Smarter Justice is not a law firm, tax firm, accounting firm, insurer, government agency, court, or official filing service. Information and automated tools do not create an attorney-client or other professional relationship.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing information, correcting errors, deciding whether to rely on a document, and signing, filing, submitting, or responding unless a separate valid professional engagement expressly assigns that responsibility.
No guaranteed outcome
Smarter Justice does not guarantee approval, eligibility, timing, refund, tax result, settlement, benefit, filing acceptance, professional response, or legal outcome.
Professional profiles and paid placement
Public profiles may include public-source information. A listing does not mean a professional is a member, available, verified, endorsed, or appropriate for a particular matter. Attorneys and firms may claim and edit approved basic profile information without payment. Paid promotional placement, when activated, must be clearly labeled Sponsored or Featured and does not establish verification, quality, endorsement, organic priority, or the best fit for a user.
Appropriate use
Do not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful material, impersonate another person, or interfere with security or availability.
Payments
Any price, renewal, refund, or cancellation terms shown for a particular service apply to that purchase. Paid professional-growth products use disclosed fixed subscription, advertising, platform, software, or opportunity-access charges and do not take a percentage of professional fees or case outcomes. Government, court, filing, and separate professional fees are not included unless clearly stated.
Changes
Features and terms may change as services develop. Material changes are disclosed through the relevant page, account, or communication channel.
Professional members are also subject to the Professional Membership Terms.
