Information you provide

This may include account details, professional-profile information, starting-point questions, referral information, payment references, communications, and—only where a page expressly confirms that secure document handling is active—documents you choose to provide.

How information may be used

Information may be used to provide the feature you request, organize approved account or membership activity, review a profile claim, communicate with you, protect the platform, and improve services. The public starting-point tool is designed not to create an account or saved case. Smarter Justice does not sell personal information to advertisers.

Device-only document tools

The document review and comparison page reads supported text only inside the current browser tab. Document contents are not transmitted to Smarter Justice, saved to an account, sent to an AI, or shared with a professional through that page. Closing or refreshing the tab clears the working text. A downloaded summary is saved only where the user chooses on the user’s device.

Professional profiles

Some professional profiles begin with lawfully available public information. Public sources and profile status are shown where available. An unclaimed profile does not mean the professional participates in or endorses Smarter Justice. Professionals may request to claim, correct, or otherwise address profile information.

Sharing with professionals

A user’s private case information or documents are not shared with a professional merely because the professional is listed or pays for membership. Sharing requires a specific user-authorized feature and appropriate safeguards.

Payments

When payment is available, payment processing is handled through the displayed payment provider. Smarter Justice may retain transaction references and membership status. Hosted payment checkout keeps complete card details with the payment provider rather than Smarter Justice.

Security and retention

Access controls, secure sessions, privacy-safe operational logging, and storage protections are used or required according to the feature involved. Confidential document handling remains unavailable unless the relevant page expressly states that the secure feature is active. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for service, legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes. Before submitting especially sensitive information, confirm that the page expressly states the secure feature is active.

Your choices

You may choose not to provide optional information. You may contact Smarter Justice to ask about account information, profile corrections, or deletion where applicable, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements.
